CEO of Metro Orlando ED Commission Out

Another sign of the times, and consistent with the trend toward a higher than average turnover of economic development CEOs.

The executive committee of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission’s board of directors accepted the resignation of President and CEO Ray Gilley on Wednesday. Gilley has served as president and CEO for the past 10 years. In a written statement, Gilley said that while the work of economic development has never been more critical, “the current needs of the organization are not fully aligned with my own personal and professional goals.
